Lost film. Evi is a typist coming from a simple family. Gustav is the son of a businessman. They meet by chance on a train and fall in love. Gustav's father happens to be Evi's employer and he is categorically against their relationship. Since his business is on the verge of bankruptcy, he wants his son to marry a rich bride.
