The actions of working women from the Gijón / Xixón neighborhoods were a key issue during the end of the Franco dictatorship. The Gijón that we now know is largely the result of his performances. They took to the streets for health centers, the environment, education or abortion. They were decisive in shaping the city and it is time to recognize them.
