It received a nomination for the TV Documentary Works Award at the 18th China TV Golden Eagle Awards, and subsequently received several honors, including Second Prize (Feature-Length Documentary) at the 6th China Television Documentary Academic Awards and Second Prize in the 1999 Hubei Radio & Television News Awards (Social Education category).
