_Among Neighbors_ is one of those docs you just can't stop thinking about.
Yoav Potash's incredible film investigates the murder of Holocaust survivors by their Polish neighbors in Gniewoszów...6 months after WWII had already ended.
What I particularly love about this film is how Potash tells the story. The hand-drawn animation isn't just a nostalgic choice, its a beautiful and powerful lens on history that is deeply painful to witness.
The timing of this doc couldn't be more urgent. With all of the misinformation and historical revisionism of our time, this is exactly the kind of film everyone needs to see. The very fact that nationalist groups in Poland are actively trying to ban it tells you everything you need to know and why you should watch it.
This is buried history fighting its way back to the surface. It's time to face the truth together.
