Two young runaways, who share a dream of a utopia called 'island,' meet a woman living between a divorced couple. While all three share the common experience of being alienated and abandoned, they come to realize their inability to share fundamental emotions or solidarity. Recognizing that their situation is no different from that of an insect trapped in a cup, they part ways with the woman, and the two also sense their own inevitable separation.
