In the province far from the bustling city, 17-year-old Maya Dagayday shares a simple, peaceful life with her grandmother Gaya, the known spiritual leader and healer in town. This peace, however, is disrupted after Maya and her friends have a spooky encounter while swimming at the nearby river. A chain of unfortunate events then befall her and their once-quiet days, which leads to Maya making a decision that will ultimately change her life.
