Aldo, recently turned 40, is left out of the blue and without explanation by Alessia after a 15-year relationship. On the advice of a friend, Aldo decides to begin a course of therapy. During the sessions, his psychologist Carlo, a 70-year-old introvert, discovers that he has had the same experience that prompted Aldo to turn to him.
