Ayako, a widow, lives a simple life despite being in debt. One day, her brother-in-law Ryota, who is going to compete in a boxing match, comes to live and train at Ayako's house. Attracted by his determination to pursue his dream, Ayako makes a decision to help Ryota break free from his stoicism on the day before the match.
