Romeo, an immigrant in Los Angeles, dreams of becoming an actor to woo Rosa, a woman obsessed with soap operas. After he lands a role on a popular telnovela, Rosa's interest is piqued, but devotion to his dream is tested when he's asked to play a rapist.
