MaryBeth, a sanitation worker, is on her morning route when the Mayor's wife is murdered. She hears something in the forest but, due to a contentious relationship with the local sheriff, chooses not to disclose what she may have witnessed. The murderers, aware of MaryBeth's presence and potential to expose them, are determined to silence her.
