"Sarah" (Allie Grant) is keen to go on a date with handsome "Danny" (Miles Heizer) but his car has recently been stolen and her's - well it just belongs in the scrapyard. She reckons she might be able to borrow her podiatrist mum's car though, but when she says it's too dangerous to go downtown at night, it looks like she's stuck. Later that evening, with her mum snoozing on the sofa, she decides to just take the car and go get her man. Snag? Well it turns out that her mother being a foot fixer isn't quite as dull as she'd always thought. Indeed it's actually surprisingly nail-biting! This is actually quite a fun, no-budget, parody of a few 1980s television series all rolled into one and is accompanied by an equally familiar sounding score that ought to have folks of a certain age reminiscing about some fairly popular tea-time telly. No, it's not great - but it's still quite enjoyable and there aren't many parents who'd head off to work in the morning and leave their teenage daughter and her new boyfriend alone in the house!
