Alex, a shy and somewhat awkward young man, works as a PA and stand-in on movies. On this particular romantic movie, he meets another stand-in, Bess and is smitten by her. He is encouraged by the movie and decides to ask Bess for her phone number but his own social awkwardness threatens the relationships before it even gets started.
