For two years in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), he was Akeem "The African Dream". Prior to this, he was the top heel for the WWF's short-lived national competitor, the Universal Wrestling Federation (UWF), and UWF Heavyweight Champion for six months in 1986 and 1987.
