As an actor he is best known for his collaborations with Jonathan Demme, having appeared in six of Demme’s films including The Silence of the Lambs (1991). In addition to his film work, he is co-founder of Big Dance Theatre and an associate member of The Wooster Group, and currently teaches theater at Harvard.
