
Martina Plura is a German film director. She began making her first films at a young age, together with her twin sister, Monika. After graduating from high school in Neuwied, she studied Media Arts at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne; she subsequently spent a year abroad at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión in Cuba, where she also produced her documentary *Cuba Libre*. From 2012 to 2014, she studied directing at the Hamburg Media School, graduating with a Master of Arts degree. She gained recognition through works such as her directorial debut, *Vorstadtrocker* (2015), the Western *Dreizehnuhrmittags* (2017), and the ZDFneo sitcom *Tanken – mehr als Super*.
