Growing up, he was captivated by Chinese martial arts films, especially those featuring Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, and Jet Li. Although he earned a degree in IT, Lee was drawn to the world of Chinese martial arts, leading him to study in Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang province, China. After returning to the UK, he worked as a salesman and financial consultant before training as an actor and relocating to China in 2010. He has appeared in many Chinese movies including The Battle at Lake Changjin.
