Jonathan Davis Arakelian is a film producer and founder of Edge Films, a production company established in 2017 in Mexico City. Throughout his career, he has worked on thirteen feature films across genres including comedy, horror, documentary, and auteur cinema. In 2020, Modo Avião, Netflix’s first original Brazilian feature film, was released globally on the platform in January of that year. In 2023, he presented Good Savage at the Tallinn Black Nights International Film Festival, followed by its theatrical release in July 2025 through Corazón Films. In 2024, A History of Love & War premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and was released in theaters in October 2025 via Videocine Distribución. Both films were directed by Santiago Mohar Volkow. Also in 2023, he produced The Perfect Club, Ricardo Castro’s second feature, which premiered at the Austin Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award, and was released theatrically in August 2025 through Cinemex Distribución. In October 2025, he released No Me Sigas, directed by Ximena & Eduardo Lecuona—a horror thriller that marks the first Spanish-language production under the Blumhouse label, distributed by Cinépolis Distribución. He is currently in post-production on two feature films: The Surrogate, directed by Ali Jaberansari, and Africa Express, a documentary directed by Emilio Guerrero Alexander. His latest completed feature, La Peluca, directed by Emiliano Rocha Minter, had its world premiere at the Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema (BAFICI) in April 2026.
