Jaroslav Marvan was a Czechoslovakian actor. He was born in Prague and married in the 1920s to Marie Marvanov. He was a member of numerous Czech theatres of note throughout the early 20th century, including the Vlasta Burian's theatre, Vinohradské Divadlo (1943-1950), Městská Divadla Pražská (1950-1954), and finally Národní Divadlo (national theatre), where he served for until two years before his death, in 1972.
